I led the product team through a significant July release that shipped multiple improvements to make traveling with Southwest even easier.
New Features
Overnight Connections
We activated our new Overnight Connections capability, now available on trips via select connecting cities. These longer trips open up more options for customers to enjoy their freedom to travel.
Previously, customers had to book overnight trips as two separate reservations to connect the last flight of the day to the first flight the next morning. Now, our teams added clear messaging so customers are aware in advance of this special type of trip.
Mobile-Friendly Password Resets
Resetting your password is now much easier on mobile devices. No more struggling with a desktop-optimized experience on your phone.
Improved Business Travel Product Information
We improved the discoverability of our Business Travel products, making it easier for business travelers to find and take advantage of Southwest’s corporate offerings.
Better Low Fare Calendar Access
Enhanced linking from the desktop homepage to the Low Fare Calendar helps customers quickly find the best fares for their travel dates.
Enhanced Error Messaging
Improved promo code and price error messaging provides clearer guidance when something doesn’t work as expected.
Defect Fixes
- Resolved mobile booking errors for smoother checkout
- Fixed inflight movie playback errors for select Android devices
Quality of Life Improvements
